After an extended break due to the pandemic, we are delighted to be welcoming our next choir of talented young learners to the UK this May. With it comes another opportunity for local Bristol families and individuals to open their hearts and homes to this inspirational choir.
20 children aged 8 – 15 years will be leaving South Africa for the first time and travelling to Bristol with their accompanying teachers. Touring for 3 weeks across the South West to showcase their incredible traditional Zulu songs and dances, all to raise funds for further educational development projects at their township schools.
Whilst in the UK the choir and their teachers live in pairs with local hosts. Welcoming our guests into your home is a unique cultural experience which creates memories and connections that can last a lifetime.
Norman and Bridget first hosted for Project Zulu in 2018, keeping in touch with Asanda and Nkosikhona ever since, following their journeys through school and even visiting them in the Madadeni township. The couple have once again jumped at the opportunity to host in 2023 and we’re delighted to have them back!
“Hosting the children on their last visit was an amazing and joyful experience. They had such enthusiasm for life, it was impossible not to feel inspired by them, the house was full of music and laughter. We are so pleased to get the chance to invite two more of these wonderful children into our home.”
